Tomorrow is Emily's birthday! Finally turning 21! From 9 to 21. We've been friends for TWELVE YEARS!

I wrote you that one super long letter, but I wanted to tell you more about how grateful I am to be considered your best friend. You are so patient and kind to me. I know I don't make it easy. Thanks for remembering all my DC acronyms (ACC, DOE, FERC, NEPA, etc. etc.), taking an interest in my passions, listening to me go on and on about lobbying and GIS, and letting me sing all four verses of "All Too Well"—the ten minute version. I'd be so lost and miserable without you. I hope you like the package, if it ever gets there. I put a lot of thought and time and effort into it. Bought special highlighters and learned how to tie a surgeon's knot for it. Or for you or whatever.
